Dating history

When residing things die, muscle isn’t any longer being changed as well as the radioactive decay of 14 C becomes apparent. Around 55,000 years later on, so much 14 C has decayed that what continues to be can no further be calculated.

Radioactive decay may be used as being a “clock” since it is unaffected by physical (e.g. temperature) and chemical ( e.g. water content) conditions.
