Overview: Part 3
The wedding is a big, festive affair, but 8 weeks after, Janie visits Nanny to inquire of for pointers; she worries that she’s going to never ever like Logan. Nanny berates Janie for not admiring Logan’s wealth and position. She sends Janie on her method, once again telling her that, at some point, she’s going to create feelings for Logan. After Janie makes, Nanny prays to goodness to look after Janie, stating that she, Nanny, did the greatest that she could. Four weeks later, she dies. A-year passes by, and Janie however seems no fascination with Logan and gets further disillusioned.
Overview: Section 4
Logan pampers Janie much less and attempts to have the lady to execute manual work, claiming that this woman is spoiled. One-day, he renders to purchase an additional mule so as that Janie will help him operate in the fields. While Logan is getting the mule, Janie spies a good-looking, dramatically dressed complete stranger ambling later on. She grabs their eyes and flirts a little while with him; his name’s Joe Starks, a smooth-tongued, fashionable guy with grand ambitions. The guy tells the lady that he is from Georgia, that he have saved up lots of money, hence they have fall to Florida to maneuver to a different city that will be being constructed and run by blacks.
