A suspect from inside the U.S. Capitol riot is detained after presumably bragging about his participation during the insurrection to his complement on a matchmaking application, just who rapidly reported him to police.

Court filings claim that just one week following the Jan. 6 insurrection, Robert Chapman, 50, informed another Bumble individual, «i did so storm the capitol,» incorporating, «we managed to make it entirely into Statuary hallway.» The unnamed people was actually evidently not satisfied.

The Bumble individual reported Chapman to government around Jan. 13, triggering a months-long study that culminated inside the arrest Thursday in his home town of Carmel, N.Y.
